PRV Control Installation Manual (Control Logger)

The i2O PRV control system enables water utilities to achieve optimal pressure reduction on DMAs automatically and with minimal operational support. The i2O system continuously adjusts the PRV outlet pressures to the lowest possible level whilst maintaining customer levels of service and continually optimises pressures after installation, automatically responding to changes in the network characteristics.

The i2O controller and logger continuously monitor the system to communicate with the i2O platform which uses a sophisticated algorithm to adapt the control parameters based on this data. The algorithm progressively learns the characteristics of the DMA allowing its optimisation. Data is then downloaded to the turn adjusts the PRV output pressure.

This installation manual is intended to be used by Engineers and technicians who have been trained and certified by i2O Water Ltd or by a delegated local training representative. It is not intended to be a detailed step-by-step instruction and assumes that the Engineer will be competent to plan all repair and maintenance operations on high-pressure water supply systems.
