When using Automatic Optimisation mode, sometimes the optimisation is paused by the software. This is indicated by the icon in the dashboard and the message "Automatic optimisation recalculation mode switched to manual".
The reason for the optimisation being paused is that the latest calculated curve is different from the previous curve by a statistically-significant amount. Pausing the process allows a user to manually check the curve and decide whether or not to apply it.
Examples of network events that can cause the Automatic Optimisation to be paused are a leak (or unusual demand) near the critical point, or a poorly-performing flow meter giving inconsistent readings.
When Automatic Optimisation has been paused, the APV will continue to control to the last previously-accepted curve, but will not continue to update the curve based on the latest received data.
To restart Automatic Optimisation, go to Configuration > Control and select the dP Curve tab in the Control Curves section.
Click on the recalculate icon to display the New Control curve on the graph. The large graph above shows the Predicted P2 that will be applied using this New Control curve. To use this curve and return to fully automatic optimisation, select Automatic and then click Save at the bottom of the screen.
If you do not wish to use the displayed New Control curve, click Cancel at the bottom of the screen and control will continue using the Current Control curve.
